Metro’s Wednesday PM Commute: Ride transit to Sunday’s Seahawks game, plus some Metro routes may be operating on Holiday schedule this week

Holiday schedule for Metro buses
From Tuesday, December 26 through Friday, December 29 and Monday, January 1, Metro bus routes may be operating on reduced or revised schedules, or have designated trips cancelled due to the holidays and the UW not being in session. Check your route’s timetable and our holiday schedule.

Celebrate New Year’s with free rides on Metro
Metro will usher in 2018 with free rides for all customers on New Year’s Eve.
All day on New Year’s Eve, from Sunday, December 31 at 4:00 AM to January 1 at 4:00 AM, Metro and the City of Seattle will provide free rides on all regular bus routes, as well as Access, DART and streetcar service.

Regular Sunday fares are required on all service on Monday, New Year’s Day, after 4:00 AM. Transit will operate a Sunday schedule on New Year’s Day.

Holiday Service Revision

Downtown Bellevue Holiday Traffic

  • Friday, 11/24 thru Sunday, 1/7;
  • Metro routes 246 & 271, and Sound Transit Express
    routes 550, 555 & 556 are rerouted.

Long-term Construction Reroutes

120th Av NE is closed between Totem Lake Blvd & NE 128th St

  • Through Sunday, 12/31 – at all times;
  • Metro routes 235, 236, 238 and 277 are rerouted.

Main St is closed in downtown Bothell

  • Through Sunday, 12/31 – at all times;
  • Metro routes 243, 312, 342, 372 and Sound Transit Route
    ST 522 are rerouted.

Long-term Construction Closures

The South Bellevue Park & Ride closure

  • Through mid-year 2022 for East Link construction.
  • Metro Route 241 & Sound Transit Express routes 550, 555 and 556 are affected.  During this time, use the stop on Bellevue Way SE just north of 112th Av SE, across the street from the park-and-ride.
  • Heading toward the Bellevue Transit Center, these routes will continue to serve the stop on Bellevue Way SE, just outside the park-and-ride.
