Metro’s Thursday PM Commute: Expect possible transit service delays for buses traveling on SB I-5 Northgate to SR-520, plus upcoming events

On Memorial Day, Monday, May 29, Metro Transit will operate a Sunday schedule.  Metro offices, including the Customer Information office and Lost and Found will be closed.  If a Metro bus route does not normally operate on Sunday, it will not operate on Memorial Day.

Transit service may experience congestion or delays in areas near events and construction projects.

Events

Northwest Folklife Festival at Seattle Center

  • Friday, 5/26-Monday, 5/29
  • To get to the Northwest Folklife Festival at Seattle Center, ride Metro routes 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 13, 24, 32 or 33, or the RapidRide D Line.
  • Metro routes 5, 26E, 28E, 40, 62 and the RapidRide E Line travel to within walking distance of Seattle Center.

Sounders FC match

  • Saturday, 5/27 at 12:00 Noon;
  • Ride regularly scheduled Transit service to or near CenturyLink Field;
  • Expect traffic & possible Transit delays before and after games on routes that serve SODO, Stadium, Pioneer Square & downtown Seattle area;
  • Regular fares apply.

Long-term Construction Reroutes

S 2nd St is closed at Main St in Renton

  • Through Saturday, 7/1 – at all times;
  • Metro routes 101, 107, 148 and 153 are rerouted.

120th Av NE is closed between Totem Lake Blvd & NE 128th St

  • Through Sunday, 12/31 – at all times;
  • Metro routes 235, 236, 238 and 277 are rerouted.

Main St is closed in downtown Bothell

  • Through Sunday, 12/31 – at all times;
  • Metro routes 243, 312, 342, 372 and Sound Transit Route ST 522 are rerouted.
