Metro’s Thursday AM Commute: Expect transit delays on commuter routes as traffic increases on most major roadways, plus more

Events

Soccer Matches @ CenturyLink Field

  • Thursday, 7/27 at  4:15 PM – Brazil vs Japan & 7:00 PM – United States vs Australia
  • Ride regularly scheduled Transit service to or near CenturyLink Field;
  • Regular fares apply.
  • Expect traffic & possible transit delays starting early in the evening and after the match on routes that serve SODO, Stadium, Pioneer Square & downtown Seattle area.

Mariners at Safeco Field 

  • Fri, 7/28 at 7:10 PM;
  • Sat, 7/29 & Sun, 7/30 at 1:10 PM;
  • Ride regularly scheduled Transit service to & from games.
  • Lots of transit service goes near Safeco Field.
  • SODO-area transit service operates via regular routes & stops and there are no post-game reroutes.
  • There is no transit service on 1st Av S north of S Lander St.

Auburn Farmers Market

  • Sundays only, through 9/24, 6:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • Metro routes 180 & 181 will be rerouted.

Long-term Construction Reroutes

120th Av NE is closed between Totem Lake Blvd & NE 128th St

  • Through Sunday, 12/31 – at all times;
  • Metro routes 235, 236, 238 and 277 are rerouted.

Main St is closed in downtown Bothell

  • Through Sunday, 12/31 – at all times;
  • Metro routes 243, 312, 342, 372 and Sound Transit Route ST 522 are rerouted.

Long-term Construction Closures

The South Bellevue Park-and-Ride closure

  • Through mid-year 2022 for East Link construction.
  • Metro Route 241 & Sound Transit Express routes 550, 555 and 556 are affected.  During this time, use the stop on Bellevue Way SE just north of 112th Av SE, across the street from the park-and-ride.
  • Heading toward the Bellevue Transit Center, these routes will continue to serve the stop on Bellevue Way SE, just outside the park-and-ride.
