Metro’s Friday PM Commute: Earlier transit delays are subsiding as the evening commute winds down, plus events that may impact your commute

Transit service will be affected by multiple community and civic events in downtown Seattle and Bellevue this weekend.  Expect some planned transit reroutes, as well as possible significant service delays due to traffic, crowds and congestion associated with these events.

Event Reroutes –

The Tenacious Ten Run

Nalamasu Baraat Processional

  • Sat, 4/22, 7:30-9:00 AM;
  • 1st Av between Pine St-Union St will be affected.
  • Metro route 125 will be rerouted.

March for Science Seattle

  • Sat, 4/22, 12:00 Noon-3:00 PM
  • Expect traffic & possible transit delays during this event
    on routes that serve Pine St and 4th Av.
  • Metro routes 3, 4, 10, 11, 40 & 47, and Sound Transit
    routes ST 545 & ST 554 will be rerouted.

All in for Autism

  • Sun, 4/23, 7:30-11:00 AM;
  • Metro routes 240, 241 and 249, and Sound Transit
    ST Route 550 will be rerouted.

Long-term Construction Reroutes

S 2nd St is closed at Main St in Renton

  • Through Saturday, 7/1 – at all times;
  • Metro routes 101, 107, 148 and 153 are rerouted.

120th Av NE is closed between Totem Lake Blvd & NE 128th St

  • Through Sunday, 12/31 – at all times;
  • Metro routes 235, 236, 238 and 277 are rerouted.

Main St is closed in downtown Bothell

  • Through Sunday, 12/31 – at all times;
  • Metro routes 243, 312, 342, 372 and Sound Transit Route
    ST 522 are rerouted.
