Metro’s Thursday PM Commute – Earlier delays are subsiding as the evening commute winds down; events & construction affecting service

Please note the information below about service advisories and alerts due to known events and construction in Metro’s service area.

Event

We Day Seattle at KeyArena

  • Friday, 4/21, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM;
  • Expect traffic & possible transit delays before & after this event
    on routes that serve the lower Queen Anne & Seattle Center area.
  • Metro routes 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 13, 15 Ex, 17 Ex & 18 Ex and the Rapid Ride D Line may experience possible delays in service during the peak commute.

Event Reroutes –

Nalamasu Baraat Processional

  • Sat, 4/22, 7:30-9:00 AM;
  • 1st Av between Pine St-Union St will be affected.
  • Metro routes 125 will be rerouted.

All in for Autism

  • Sun, 4/23, 7:30-11:00 AM;
  • Metro routes 240, 241 and 249,  and Sound Transit Route 550, will be rerouted.

Long-term Construction Reroutes

S 2nd St is closed at Main St in Renton

  • Monday, 4/3-Saturday, 7/1 – at all times;
  • Metro routes 101, 107, 148 and 153 are rerouted.

120th Av NE is closed between Totem Lake Blvd & NE 128th St

  • Through Sunday, 12/31 – at all times;
  • Metro routes 235, 236, 238 and 277 are rerouted.

Main St is closed in downtown Bothell

  • Through Sunday, 12/31 –at all times;
  • Metro routes 243, 312, 342, 372 and
    Sound Transit Route ST 522 are rerouted.

Metro’s Thursday PM Commute – Rts 21 & 128 continue to be rerouted; expect service delays for buses using I-5 north of downtown due to traffic

Route 21 is currently rerouted in both directions off of 35th Av SW between SW Holden St and SW Alaska St due to a blockage.

During this time, Route 21 heading toward downtown Seattle or Westwood Village will travel instead via SW Holden St, California Av SW, Fauntleroy Way SW and SW Alaska St then onto its regular route in both directions, serving all regular and temporary posted stops along the reroute.

Route 128 is currently rerouted in both directions off a portion of SW Orchard St, Sylvan Way SW and SW Morgan St, due to a blockage.

During this time, Route 128 heading toward the Admiral District or Southcenter will travel instead via Delridge Way SW, SW Holden St and California Av SW then onto its regular route in both directions, serving all regular and temporary posted stops along the reroute.

Route 99 has resumed regular route and stops in downtown Seattle.

Metro’s Thursday PM Commute – The stop on 2nd Av just north of Marion St has reopened

The stop on 2nd Av just north of Marion St has reopened.

Buses have resumed service at this stop and will no longer be using the stop on 2nd Av between Seneca St and Spring St.

Metro’s Thursday PM Commute – Route 62 is currently rerouted off 1st Av, Madison St and Seneca St due to a blockage

Route 62 is currently rerouted in downtown Seattle due to a blockage on Madison St near 1st Av.

Until further notice, northbound buses use stops on 1st Av south of Cherry St or on 3rd Av at James St, Madison St or at Union St.

Southbound buses use regular posted stops north of Madison St or on 1st Av south of Columbia St.

This reroute is expected to last several hours.
