Metro’s Friday PM Commute – Expect possible service delays on Capitol Hill, S Jackson St and in downtown Seattle; construction and weekend events

Delays due to Inauguration Day events on Capitol Hill and downtown Seattle

There are currently no planned transit reroutes for today’s Inauguration Day events.  If streets are closed or blocked, however, buses may have to travel via alternate streets until their usual routes clear. 

Transit riders who may be affected are encouraged to sign up for Transit Alerts, consider alternate travel plans, be aware of conditions in their immediate vicinity, know their transit options and be prepared for delays, reroutes and crowds.

Please note the information below about service advisories and alerts due to known events and construction in Metro’s service area.

Event- 

Womxn March in Seattle

  • Saturday, 1/21, 11:00 AM-when traffic clears;
  • Routes 7, 14, 36 and Sound Transit routes 522, 545 and 554 will be rerouted off S Jackson St and in downtown Seattle.

Long-Term Construction Reroute –

Main St closed in downtown Bothell

  • Tuesday, 1/17-Sunday, 12/31–at all times;
  • Routes 243, 312, 342, 372 and Sound Transit Route 522 are rerouted.
