Metro’s Friday PM Commute: Transit service delays are subsiding as traffic clears on major highways and roadways; Husky and Mariners this evening

Please note the information below about service advisories and alerts due to known events in Metro’s service area.

Event Reroutes –

UW Husky Football

  • Friday, 9/30 at 6:00 PM;
  • From the University District, transfer to the UW Link shuttle southbound on University Way NE just north of NE Pacific St. This free shuttle is scheduled to operate every 7½ minutes.
  • Returning to the University District after the game, fans can either walk, or ride any bus westbound on NE Pacific St.
  • Routes 44, 45, 65, 67, 71, 73, 75, & 372 will be rerouted during this event.

Mariners Home Stand

  • Friday, 9/30 at 7:10 PM,
  • Saturday, 10/1 at 6:10 PM,
  • Sunday, 10/2 at 12:10 PM;
  • There is no premium or special transit service to or from games.
  • Ride regularly scheduled transit service to & from games.
  • Lots of transit service goes near Safeco Field.
  • SODO-area transit service operates via regular routes & stops and there are no post-game reroutes.
  • There is no transit service on 1st Av S north of S Lander St.

Transit riders are advised that service or schedule impacts in one part of Metro’s service area may result in related delays in others.

Transit customers are encouraged to sign up for Transit Alerts for the routes they use, and to visit Metro’s desktop, mobile, Android or iOS apps for scheduled and predicted times at stops, transit maps, trip planning, bus tracking and service disruption notifications.
