Please note the information below about service advisories and alerts due to known events in Metro’s service area.
Construction reroutes –
2-week Alaskan Way Viaduct closure
- Transit service is rerouted for about two weeks during a full closure of the Alaskan Way Viaduct;
- Metro bus routes 21E, 37, 55, 56, 57, 113, 120, 121, 122, 123, 125 & the RapidRide C Line are rerouted.
- Get ready! Metro has travel options & tips that may help;
- All traffic that normally uses the Viaduct is rerouted into adjacent corridors;
- All commuters should expect possible significant delays & allow extra time;
- Plan or revise your commute accordingly.
23rd Av Corridor Improvements Project
- Saturday & Sunday, 5/7-5/8 – At all times;
- 23rd Av & E Union St in the Central District;
- Routes 2 & 48 will be rerouted.
Events Reroutes–
Cinco De May Celebration
- Thursday, 5/5 – through end of service;
- Metro bus Route 26E is affected in the Green Lake area.
UW Bothell 5K Walk & Run
- Saturday, 5/7 – 7:00 AM–1:00 PM
- Metro Transit Route 238 & Sound Transit Route ST 522 will be rerouted in the Bothell area.
Free Them 5K
- Saturday, 5/7 – 7:30 AM–12:00 Noon;
- Metro routes 331 & 348 will be rerouted in North Seattle area.
- Saturday, 5/7 – 8:30 AM–11:00 AM;
- Route 10 will be rerouted in Capitol Hill.
Opening Day of Boating Season
- Saturday, 5/7 – 9:30 AM–4:00 PM;
- Metro routes 43, 48 & 271 will be rerouted in the Montlake area.
Sounders FC match
- Saturday, 5/7 at 7:00 PM;
- Ride regularly scheduled Transit service to or near CenturyLink Field;
- Regular fares apply.
- Expect traffic & possible Transit delays before and after games on routes that serve SODO, Stadium, Pioneer Square & downtown Seattle area.
- Sunday, 5/8 – 8:30 AM–11:00 AM;
- Metro routes 1, 2, 4, 5, 8, 10, 11, 13, 14, 21, 24, 26, 28, 33, 40, 47, 49, 62, 70, 131,132, the RapidRide C, D & E lines and Sound Transit routes 522, 545 and 554 will be rerouted in the Seattle Center and downtown Seattle area.
