  • Sun, 3/6/16;
  • 6:00-11:00 AM;
  • Metro routes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 13, 16, 24, 33 and RapidRide D and E Line will be rerouted.

Transit Alert Update – Route 44 has resumed normal service between the University District and Ballard

Route 44 has resumed normal service between the University District and Ballard.

Delays should begin to subside shortly.

Transit Alert Update – Route 44 diesel shuttle service now operating in both directions between the University District and Ballard

Route 44 diesel shuttle service now operating in both directions between the University District and Ballard.

In the University District, board the Route 44 on NE 45th St west of University Way NE.

In Ballard, these buses are rerouted off of of NW Market St between 8th Av NW and 15th Av NW. Use the stops on NW Market St east of NW 8 St or west of 15th Av NW.

Expect significant delays to continue through the evening commute.

Transit Alert Update – Route 44 is currently experiencing significant delays in service between the University District and Ballard in both directions

Route 44 is currently experiencing significant delays in service between the University District and Ballard in both directions due to a major accident on NW Market Street in Ballard.

Route 44 trolley buses are unable to reroute around the accident.  There are diesel shuttles on the way to provide service.

In Ballard, diesel buses will be rerouted off of of NW Market St between 8th Av NW and 15th Av NW.

More information will be provided as it becomes available.
