Overnight Construction Reroute –
Westbound SR-520 Bridge closure
- Overnight Thursday, 8/21;
- 11:00 PM-5:00 AM;
- Metro route 255 and Sound Transit route ST 545 will be rerouted via I-90.
Event –
- Friday, 8/22 at 7:00 PM;
- No Shuttles on weekday games;
- Expect traffic & possible transit delays before & after games
on routes that serve SODO, Pioneer Square & the DSTT; - Ride transit to the game.
Temporary Construction Closure –
Upcoming Transit Impacts during SR 99 Construction
Beginning Friday evening, August 22 at 10:00 PM, and ending on Wednesday morning, August 27 at 5:00 AM, several Metro routes will be affected by street closures and traffic congestion associated with WSDOT construction work in
the SR 99 corridor.
Alaskan Way Viaduct between S Spokane St &
the Battery St Tunnel
- Fri, 8/22, 10:00 PM-Mon, 8/25, 5:00 AM;
- The stops westbound on Columbia St at 2nd Av and
eastbound on Seneca St at 3rd Av will be missed; - Metro Routes 120, 125 and the Rapid Ride C & D lines will be rerouted.
- On Mon, 8/25 & Tue, 8/26, the Viaduct will be open; bus service will operate via regular routes & serve regular stops.
Aurora Avenue North between the Battery St Tunnel & Valley St
- Fri, 8/22, 10:00 PM-Wed, 8/27, 5:00 AM;
- Metro routes 5 Ex & Local service, 16, 26 Ex, 28 Ex &
the RapidRide E Line will be rerouted. - Expect delays on bus routes that travel through the construction area and along adjacent corridors.
Event –
- Sat, 8/23, Start of service-Sun, 8/24, End of service;
Metro routes 1, 2, 5, 7, 13, 14, 21, 24, 26, 27, 28, 36, 40, 49, 70, 131, 132 &
Night Owl Rts 82, 83, 84 & 280, and the RapidRide E Line will be rerouted. - Sat, 8/23, 4:00 PM-Sun, 8/24, 9:00 PM;
Metro routes 16 & 66; and routes 71 & 106 (when the tunnel is closed),
and Sound Transit routes ST 522 & ST 554 will be rerouted.
Weekend Construction Reroute –
3rd Av between James St & Yesler Way
- Sat, 8/23, Start of service-Mon, 8/25, 5:00 AM;
- Metro routes 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 13, 14, 24, 26, 28, 33, 36, 40, 49, 70, 120, 124, 125 & Night Owl Rts 82, 83, 84 & 280, and the RapidRide C, D & E lines will be rerouted.
Bus Stop Advisories –
SR-520 Clyde Hill/Yarrow Point Freeway Station is open
- New Clyde Hill/Yarrow Point Freeway Station is open in both directions;
- Elevators are currently out of service, until further notice;
- Metro routes 167, 242, 243, 250, 252, 255, 257, 260, 265, 268, 277, 280 Night Owl, 311, 982, 986 & 992, and Sound Transit routes ST 540, ST 542, ST 545, ST 555 & ST 556 serve this station.
- The private shuttle to/from Evergreen Point has been discontinued.
SR-520 at Evergreen Point Freeway Station revision
- New Evergreen Point Road Freeway Stationis open in both directions;
- Metro routes 167, 242, 243, 250, 252, 255, 257, 260, 265, 268, 271, 277, 280 Night Owl, 311, 982, 986 & 992, and Sound Transit routes ST 540, ST 542, ST 545, ST 555 & ST 556 are affected;
- Minor revisions to wheelchair lift operations.
Long-Term Construction Reroutes –
Lake City – 35th Av NE between NE 95th St and NE 110th St
- Monday, 6/2 – Sunday, 11/30;
- Metro routes 64 & 65 are rerouted.
North Beach – NW Neptune Pl & Triton Dr NW
- Monday, 4/28/14 – Sunday, 4/26/15;
- Metro routes 18 & 61 are rerouted;
- Buses are traveling via a one-way counter-clockwise loop along
NW 100th St, NW Neptune Pl and 24th Av NW.
