Metro’s Wednesday PM Commute Wrap-up; Plus Upcoming Events That May Impact Transit Service

At 7:00 PM, Metro’s Wednesday evening commute is winding down with no significant disruptions or delays in transit service to report.

Northbound Ambaum Blvd Overnight Construction Reroute for Routes 120 & ST 560
Overnight Wednesday, May 11, from 7:00 PM – 5:00 AM, Routes 120 & ST 560 will be rerouted off of Ambaum Blvd SW at SW 128 St , due to construction.

During this time, Metro Route 120 and ST Route 560 will travel instead via SW 146th St, 4th Av SW, SW 134th St & Ambaum Blvd SW, making all stops along the reroute.

Southbound service on Ambaum will not be affected and is expected to operate normally.

Alaskan way Viaduct Closure and Lane Reconfiguration
From Friday night, May 13 at 11 PM through Monday, May 16 at 6 AM, the Alaskan Way Viaduct will be closed for a test of the Automated Viaduct Closure System and lane reconfiguration.

King County Metro Transit is encouraging bus riders to prepare by checking Metro Online, watching media reports and signing up for Transit Alerts.

Bellevue Bus Stops Begin to Get RapidRide Makeover
On Wednesday, May 11, King County Metro Transit continues the renovation of many bus stops and shelters in the Bellevue area as preparation for the RapidRide B Line.

Dexter Av N paving Wed; possible delays for Rts 26 & 28
On Wednesday, May 11, SDOT will be paving Dexter Av N from just south of Nickerson St south to McGraw St. The work is weather dependent and subject to change without notice, but the work hours are expected to be 7 AM to 6 PM each day. Anticipate possible related delays on Metro routes 26 and 28, and for traffic in general in this area.

We will return at 6:00 AM Thursday morning to help keep an Eye on Your Metro Commute.

Due to a blockage, Routes 17 & 18 are currently rerouted in southbound direction off of 15 Ave Nw & Leary Ave NW.
Use stops west of 15 Ave NW on Leary Ave NW or south of W Emerson St along 15 Ave NW.

Metro’s Wednesday afternoon commute begins quietly with no significant delays or disruptions in transit service to report.

slowdowns occurring at The Northgate Transit Center and at
E Montlake Pl E.

Please expect delays to transit service in these areas until the
issues can be resolved.

At 7:59 – The earlier incident at E Roanoke St near 22 Av E is
now affecting Metro trolley buses operating on E Montlake Pl E
and is now causing delays to transit service again.

Please expect delays on Routes 43, 44 & 48 trolley buses until
normal service can be restored.

UPDATE – Ambaum Construction – Rts 120 & ST 560

The Tuesday Overnight reroute for Routes 120 & ST 560 have been
extended and will end at approximately 7:00 AM this morning.

In addition; Metro Route 120 and Route ST 560 heading towards
White Center will now travel instead via SW 128 St, 4 Av SW,
SW 116 St & 16 Av SW.

Route 120 will still serve the posted bus stops along the reroute.

Route ST 560 heading toward White Center will still serve the
posted bus stops at the Burien TC Bay 4, northbound on
Ambaum Blvd SW at SW 136 St or 15 Av SW at SW Roxbury St.

Southbound service on Ambaum will not be affected and is expected
to operate normally.
