Metro’s Friday PM Commute Wrap Up; Upcoming Events that may Impact Transit Service

At 7:00 PM – Metro’s Friday evening commute is winding down with no significant delays or disruptions in transit service to report.

Please make note of these upcoming events that may impact your commute:

March of Dimes Run – Seattle Center + surrounding streets; Cedar St between Denny Way and 2 Av; along 2 Av N/2 Av between Thomas St and Spring St.
Saturday, April 30 from 8:30-11:00 AM

NE Campus Parkway closed between Brooklyn Av NE and University Way NE
Starting 8:00 AM Saturday, April 30 through 9:00 PM Sunday, May 1

Mayday March & Rally – Judkins Park through downtown Seattle, ending at Seattle Center
Sunday, May 1 starting at Noon

  • Although no Metro service is rerouted because of this event, expect possible delays due to traffic volumes and marchers at the following locations
    • Westbound on S Jackson St from 20th Av
    • Northbound on 4th Av
    • Eastbound on Broad St
    • Northbound of 5th Av
  • There will be an SPD escort to assist marchers for this event

Bellevue bus stops begin to get RapidRide makeover

On Monday, May 2, King County Metro Transit is beginning the renovation of many bus stops and shelters in Bellevue as work begins on the RapidRide B Line.

Routes Have Returned to Normal Operations on 15th Av NE in the University District

At 5:15 PM – Routes have returned to normal operations on 15 Av NE in the University District. The blocking incident on 15th Av NE at NE 42 St has been cleared.

At 5:05 PM – Routes 45 and 133 rerouted off 15th Av NE between NE 50th St and NE 41 St using University Way NE instead.

Use stops on University Way NE between NE 50th St and NE 41st St; or on 15 Av NE south of 41 Av NE. Until further notice.

At 4:50 PM – Routes 167 & 197 are rerouted off 15th Av NE between NE Campus Parkway and NE 43rd St, using University Way NE.

Use stops on 15th Av NE south of NE Campus Parkway or north of NE 43rd St; or on University Way NE between NE Campus Parkway and NE 43rd St. Until further notice.

At 4:37 PM – Due to a blocking incident at 15 Av NE at NE 42 St, Routes 48 and 73 are rerouted off 15 Av NE between NE Campus Parkway and NE 43 St, using University Way NE instead. Use normal posted stops on 15 Av NE, north of NE 43 St; on University Way NE between Campus Parkway and NE 43 St.

Saturday, April 30 from 8:30 AM-11:00 AM
