Husky Football Game
Thursday, November 18, 2010
Kick-off 5:00 p.m.
The UW Huskies host UCLA this Thursday, Nov. 18, in a rare
weeknight football game. Kickoff is at 5 p.m. and traffic is expected
to be significantly congested in and around the University District
and Montlake before and after the game.
Bus riders should expect UW and Montlake area traffic-related
delays Thursday afternoon and evening that could spread beyond
the U District.
Starting at 2:30 p.m., King County Metro bus routes that normally
travel on the UW campus will be rerouted due to expected traffic levels.
Additional post-game reroutes start during the third quarter. Check
rider alerts for reroutes for routes 31, 44, 65, 67, 68, 75, 205, 271, 272,
277, 372, 373 & ST 540.
Buses that travel on streets adjacent to the campus are expected to remain
on regular routes, but will likely be delayed by traffic congestion.
Metro will operate a temporary shuttle on Thursday from 2:30 p.m. to
8 p.m. that will loop through the UW campus to help students and staff
connect to regular Metro service on 15th Ave NE.
Metro will not provide special bus service to the game as it does on
weekends, because buses will be busy with regular service.
Fans are encouraged to ride regular public transportation or the
Husky charter service to get to and from the game.

Thanks for using Metro’s services.
