Metro’s Wednesday PM commute has ended. Transit service disruptions and delays related to May Day events are subsiding.

Please note the information below advising about construction activities or other events that may affect Transit operation in Metro’s service area.

Event – Mariners home stand

  • Through Wednesday, 5/1.
  • Most weekday evening games start at 7:10 PM.
  • There is no premium or special Transit service to or from games.
  • Ride regularly scheduled Transit service to & from games.
  • Lots of Transit service goes near Safeco Field.
  • SODO-area Transit service operates via regular routes & stops
    and there are no post-game reroutes.
  • Expect traffic & possible Transit delays before and after games on routes that serve SODO, Pioneer Square & the DSTT.

Long-Term Bus Stop Closures – On Aurora Av N at Mercer St
and Thomas St

Construction – On Blanchard St between 3rd and 7th avenues

Construction – Northbound Westlake Av N is closed between
Mercer St & 9th Av N

Construction – On northbound Rainier Av S at SW Grady Way

Pine St is blocked at 12 Ave; Routes 10 & 11 are rerouted

Routes 10 & 11 are rerouted off of E Pine St at 12 Ave in both directions, due to a blockage.

Rt 10 – is rerouted via E John St, Broadway & Pine St to regular route. Use stops along its reroute or north of E John St on 15 Ave E or west of Broadway on Pine St.

Rt 11 – is rerouted via Broadway E, E Union St & E Madison St to regular route. Use stops along its reroute or west of Broadway on E Pine St or east of 16 Ave on E Madison St.

May Day activities in downtown Seattle is causing delays and disruptions to bus service.

Second Avenue buses are operating via 3rd Avenue.  Transit customers who normally ride buses along 2nd Av may wish to board their service along 3rd Av at Pike St, Union St & Spring St.

We’ll provide updates as it becomes available.

The May Day procession is arriving at 2 Ave & Marion St and 2nd Ave buses continue to operate via 3rd Avenue

Second Avenue buses continue to operate via 3rd Avenue.  Transit customers who normally ride buses along 2nd Av may wish to board their service along 3rd Av at Pike St, Union St & Spring St.

Expect service delay on buses leaving downtown Seattle. Bus riders are encouraged to board or exit buses south of S Jackson St or north of Pine St.

Crews are working to restore service.

Use alternate Metro bus routes 40, 66 & 70 until further notice.

The May Day procession is currently near 2nd Av & Seneca St.

Second Avenue buses are temporarily operating via 3rd Avenue.  Transit customers who normally ride buses along 2nd Av may wish to board their service along 3rd Av at Pike St, Union St & Spring St.

2nd Ave & Marion St stop is closed until the procession crowd clears the area.

Expect delays and we’re are continuing to monitor activities and will provide updates as information becomes available.
