Metro’s Monday PM commute is progressing; freeway traffic appears to be flowing smoothly to Seattle, congestion clears on I-90 & SR-520

Metro’s PM commute is progressing with reports of lightened traffic congestion on northbound I-5, westbound I-90 & SR-520 to Seattle; southbound I-5 from NE 45th St to Seattle and surface streets surrounding Century Link Field still congested. Transit service delays are expected to subside as Monday Night Football game begins.

Metro’s Fall service change begins Saturday, 9/29.

The downtown Seattle Ride Free Area will be eliminated starting Saturday, 9/29. At that time all riders will pay as they board transit on all trips at all times.
