Metro’s Wednesday PM commute is over; the Ms are home tonight & events that may affect Transit service

Metro’s Wednesday afternoon commute has ended with no significant delays or disruptions in transit service to report.

Mariners home stand

  • Through Sunday, 9/9.
  • Most weekday evening games start at 7:10 PM.
  • There is no premium or special Transit service to or from games.
  • Ride regularly scheduled Transit serviceto & from games.
  • Lots of Transit service goes near Safeco Field.
  • SODO-area Transit service will operate via regular routes & stops
    and there are no post-game reroutes.
  • There is no longer any transit service on 1st Av S north of S Lander St.
  • Expect traffic & possible Transit delays before and after games on routes that serve SODO, Pioneer Square & the DSTT.

Event - Burien Fire Department Kids’ Day

Event – Escape from the Rock Triathlon

  • Sunday, 9/9
  • 7:30-11:00 AM
  • ST Routes 550 & 554 will be affected.

Event – Iron Girl 5K & 10K Race

  • Sunday, 9/9
  • 7:30-10:30 AM
  • Route 48 will be affected.

Long-Term Construction – The Eastbound 1st Av S ramp from the Spokane Street Viaduct is closed

Long-Term Construction – Eastbound N 85th St is closed between Greenwood & Wallingford Avs N

Long-Term Construction – Buses are rerouted off Fairview Av N due to a new phase in the Mercer Corridor Project

Route 180 has resumed regular route on Orilla Rd

The route 180 has resumed service on Orilla Rd.

Metro’s Wednesday AM commute has begun, Rt 180 is rerouted eastbound off Orilla Rd, Ms afternoon game & other upcoming events

Metro’s Wednesday morning commute has begun with the Route 180 rerouted eastbound off of Orilla Rd, until further notice. 

Westbound Route 180 is not affected and will use normal routing and stops.

Use the stop eastbound on S 212th St just east of 50th Av S. 

Be prepared for possible traffic congestion and delays in the SODO, Pioneer Square & downtown Seattle areas during the Mariners Wednesday day game.
