Metro’s Friday PM commute has begun; Traffic congestion reported on I-405; Fairview routing revisions begin at 11 PM & other transit impacts

HAPPY FRIDAY AFTERNOON! Metro’s PM commute has begun with significant traffic congestion on I-405 in both directions between Coal Creek Parkway and  NE 85th St, due to multiple earlier incidents. Transit service delays can be expected until traffic clears.

Please note the information below about possible traffic impacts in Metro’s service area.

 

Construction – Weekend lane & ramp closures along northbound I-405 from I-90 to NE 160th St

  • Friday, 8/24 9 PM-Sunday, 8/26 11 AM
  • While no transit routes are directly affected and no reroutes are planned, traffic overflow to surface streets could cause congestion and delays in the surrounding areas. Allow plenty of time for all travel.

Long-term Construction - Eastbound 1st Av S ramp closed from the Spokane Street Viaduct

Construction – Eastbound N 85th St is closed between Greenwood & Wallingford Av N
