Metro’s Tuesday PM commute has ended; plus upcoming events that may impact transit service

Metro’s Tuesday afternoon commute has ended with no significant delays or disruptions in transit service to report.

in Metro’s service area.

Construction – Anticipate possible delays due to
I-90 lane closures extended near Issaquah

Contractor crews removing an old, narrow fish culvert between eastbound
and westbound Interstate 90 east of Issaquah will extend lane closures on eastbound I-90.

At 6 AM Saturday, July 14, crews will close the left lane of eastbound I-90 through 3 PM, Friday, July 20.  Crews will reopen the lane for Friday afternoon travelers and will reclose the lane on Saturday, July 21, until Friday, July 27.

Construction –
Eastbound N 85th St is closed between Greenwood & Aurora Avs N

Event – Sounders FC  match - Wednesday, July 18 at 6:30 PM

Event – Enumclaw Street Fair

Event – Covington Days Parade

Event – DesMoines Waterland Parade

Event – Float Dodger 5K Run

Event – Olde Burien Block Party

Event – Vashon Strawberry Festival

Event – Chinatown Seafair Parade

Event – Swedish Summer Run

Event – White Center Jubilee Days Parade

Route 181 is rerouted off of Peasley Canyon Rd, due to a blocking incident

Route 181 is temporarily rerouted off of Peasley Canyon Rd, due to a blocking incident via I-5, SR-18 and West Valley Hwy to regular route in both directions. 

Use stops west of I-5 on S 320 St or along West Valley Hwy, until further notice.

Metro’s Tuesday afternoon commute is underway with Routes 15, 18, 19, 24 & 33 are experiencing delay from an earlier incident near Elliot Av W & W Galer St.

Expect traffic delays on the Southbound Express lanes at Cherry/Columbia St Exit from I-5

Due to a motor vehicle accident buses will not use the southbound Express lane exit at Cherry/Columbia St until further notice. 

Routes 79, 303, 304 & 355 will use alternate routes in downtown Seattle.
