Please note the information below about potential traffic impacts in Metro’s service area.
Event – Sounders FC match – Starfire Sports Stadium at 7:00 PM
- Although no transit service is rerouted due to this event, expect
traffic & transit schedule delays in the Tukwila area. - Ride transit to events.
- Regular fares apply.
- Routes 140, 150 & 161 may possibly be affected by traffic in the
Tukwila area.
Event – SR-520 drawspan openings tomorrow morning
- Thursday, July 12
- At approximately 5:00 & 11:00 AM.
- The SR-520 Bridge will be closed for up to 30 minutes during this opening.
- The start and end times can change without notice.
- Metro routes 255, 257, & 271 and Sound Transit route ST 545 may be delayed.
Event – West Seattle Summer Festival
- Thursday, July 12, 5:00 PM – Sunday, July 15, End of service
- Routes 22, 37, 51, 53, 54, 55, 57, 85 Night Owl, 128, ST 560 & Rt 773 Water Taxi Shuttle will be rerouted.
Construction – Overnight Aurora Bridge closure
- Thursday, July 12, 11:59 PM – Friday, July 13, 5:00 AM
- Southbound Route358 will be rerouted at 10:00 PM
- Routes 5, 16, 82 Night Owl & 358 will be rerouted.
Construction – Mercer Street Corridor Project
- Friday, July 13, 7:00 PM – Monday, July 16, 5:00 AM
- Routes 70, 71, 72, 73 & 83 Night Owl will be rerouted.
Construction – Aurora Av N closure at N 85th St
- Friday, July 13, 10:00 PM – Monday, July 16, 6:00 AM
- Route 358 will be rerouted.
Event – Mariners home stand
- Friday, July 13 at 7:10 PM.
- There are no post-game premium or special service.
- Ride regularly scheduled transit service to & from games.
- Lots of transit service goes near Safeco Field.
- SODO-area transit service will operate via regular routes & stops
and there are no post-game reroutes. - There is no longer any transit service on 1st Av S north ofS Lander St.
- Expect traffic & possible transit delays both pre & post game on routes that serve SODO & Pioneer Square, including DSTT routes.
Event – Chinatown Summer Festival
- Friday, July 13, 9:00 PM – Sunday, July 15, End of service
- Route 99 Waterfront Streetcar Bus Line will be rerouted.
Construction – SR-520 bridge closure
- Friday, July 13 at 11:00 PM through Monday, July 16 at 5:00 AM
- At all times during the closure
- Buses via I-90 instead
- Routes 255, 271, 280 Night Owl & ST 545 will be rerouted due to this project
Event – Ballard Seafood Festival
- Friday, July 13, 12:00 AM midnight – Sunday, July 15, 12:00 AM midnight
- Routes 17, 18, 44, 75 & 81 Night Owl will be rerouted.
Event – Redmond Derby Days Parade & Bicycle Races
- Saturday, July 14.
- Start of service – End of service.
- Routes 221, 248, ST 545 & The RapidRide B Line will be rerouted.
Construction – E Pine St at Broadway closure
- Saturday, July 14, Start of service – Monday, July 16, 2:00 AM
- Routes 10, 11, 49 & 84 Night Owl will be rerouted.
Event – Issaquah Soap Box Derby Race
- Saturday, July 14.
- 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM.
- Route 209 will be rerouted.
Event – Mercer Island Summer Celebration & Parade
- Saturday, July 14.
- 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM.
- Route 204 will be rerouted.
Event – Kent Cornucopia Days Grande Parade
- Sunday, July 15.
- 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM.
- Routes 150, 166 & 180 will be rerouted.
Construction Extended–
Northbound SODO Busway at S Spokane St
- Extended through Sunday, 7/15 – at all times.
- The southbound SODO Busway is open.
- Routes 39, 101, 102, 106, 150, 177, 178 & 190 are rerouted.
Construction –
Eastbound N 85th St is closed between Greenwood & Aurora Avs N
- Monday, 6/11 through Monday, 8/20 – at all times.
- Eastbound Route 48 is rerouted.
- Westbound service is on regular route.
