Metro’s Friday AM commute has ended; Mariners at 7:10 PM; SR-520 drawspan opening at 11:00 AM, plus other events that may impact service

Metro’s Friday morning commute is winding down with no significant delays or disruptions in service to report.

Please note the information below about possible traffic impacts in Metro’s service area.

Event – Mariners home stand

  • Monday, June 25th through Wednesday, July 4th at 7:10 PM each night except for Wednesday 6/27 at 12:40 PM,  Sunday, July/1 at 1:10 PM and Wednesday, July/4 at 1:10 PM .
  • There is no post-game premium or special service;
  • Ride regularly scheduled transit service to & from games;
  • Lots of transit service goes near Safeco Field.
  • SODO-area transit service will operate via regular routes & stops
    and there are no post-game reroutes;
  • There is no longer any transit service on 1st Av S north ofS Lander St;
  • Expect traffic & possible transit delays both pre & post game on routes that serve SODO & Pioneer Square, including DSTT routes.

Traffic alert – SR-520 drawspan opening scheduled today at 11:00 AM

  •  The SR-520 Bridge will be closed for up to 30 minutes today at about 11:00 AM, due to scheduled drawspan openings;
  • Expect possible brief delays in transit service during these times;
  • For information about this scheduled closure, visit WSDOT.

Construction – northbound SODO Busway closed at S Spokane St

Construction – Eastbound N 85th St is closed between Greenwood & Aurora Avs N
