Metro’s Friday PM commute has begun w/possible minor delays due to a downtown Seattle rally, plus weekend events

Metro’s Friday afternoon commute is underway.

There may be minor traffic and transit delays in downtown Seattle this afternoon due to a march and rally that started at 2:30 PM. The march is along 4th Avenue from Yesler Way to Madison & 2nd Av.

Construction – Alaskan Way Viaduct Weekend Closure

Event – University District Street Fair

Event – Nordstrom’s Beat the Bridge Run

Event – West Seattle 5K Run & Alki Seattle Summer Streets

Construction – NE 90th St Bridge closure in Redmond

  • Monday, May 21, 8:00 AM – Thursday, May 31, 4:00 PM
  • At all times during the closure
  • The RapidRide B Line will be rerouted.

Construction – Colman Dock bus stop revision

  • Until further notice.
  • Rts 16 & 66 are serving a new combined bus island on the Alaskan Way roadway between Marion & Columbia streets across from the ferry terminal.
  • Rt 99 stops north of Colman Dock at Pike St.

RapidRide C Line construction at Fauntleroy ferry dock

  • Through the middle of June
  • Expect possible service delays on Routes 54, 116, 118, 119 & ST 560.
