Metro’s Friday PM commute begins; Ms game tonight plus Northup Wy closure at Lk Wash Blvd, Saturday and other events that may impact transit

Metro’s Friday afternoon commute begins quietly with no significant delays or disruptions in transit service to report.

Mariners game tonight, Friday, April 20 at 7:10 PM

  • There is no post-game premium or special service;
  • Ride regularly scheduled transit service to & from games;
  • Lots of transit service goes near Safeco Field;
  • SODO-area transit service will operate via regular routes & stops
    and there are no post-game reroutes;
  • There is no longer any transit service on 1st Av S north of S Lander St;
  • Expect traffic & possible transit delays both pre & post game on routes that serve SODO & Pioneer Square, including DSTT routes.

Construction on Northup Wy between
Lake Washington Blvd NE & 108th Av NE

During this closure there will be no service along Northup Way between Lake Washington Blvd NE and 116th Av NE. 

Route 234/235 Shuttle will provide service along NE 68th St, Lakeview Dr NE, Lake Washington Blvd NE, NE 38th Pl and the S Kirkland P&R.

Husky Fest on the UW Campus & the
50th Anniversary of the Seattle World’s Fair at Seattle Center

Although no Metro or Metro operated Sound Transit service is rerouted because of these events, expect possible delays due to traffic in the University District and Queen Anne areas.

15th Av NW & 8th Av NW
