Metro’s Thursday PM commute wrap up; Ms home opener Friday, Sounders FC Saturday & other events that may impact transit

Metro’s Thursday evening commute is winding down with no significant delays or disruptions in transit to report.

Please note the information below about expected traffic and transit impacts due to events and construction in Metro’s service area.

Mariners Home Opener – Friday, April 13 at 7:10

  • There is no post-game premium or special service;
  • Ride regularly scheduled transit service to & from games;
  • Lots of transit service goes near Safeco Field;
  • SODO-area transit service will operate via regular routes & stops
    & there are no post-game reroutes;
  • There is no longer any transit service on 1st Av S north of S Lander St;
  • Expect traffic & possible transit delays both pre & post game on routes
    that serve SODO & Pioneer Square, including DSTT routes.

Sounders FC - Saturday, April 14 at 1:00 PM
Although no transit service is rerouted due to this event, expect possible delays
due to traffic in the SODO, Stadium, Pioneer Square & downtown Seattle areas.

Construction on Yesler Wy near the waterfront

Construction is completed on southbound Aurora Av N between Broad St & Denny Wy

  • Beginning Friday, April 13, at 5:00 AM.
  • Routes 5 Local & Express, 26 Express, 28 Express & 358 will return to their regular route.

Construction on eastbound NW 85th St between
15th Av NW & 8th Av NW
