Please note the information below about expected traffic and transit impacts due to events and construction in Metro’s service area.
Mariners Home Opener – Friday, April 13 at 7:10
- There is no post-game premium or special service;
- Ride regularly scheduled transit service to & from games;
- Lots of service goes near Safeco Field;
- SODO-area transit service will operate via regular routes & stops
& there are no post-game reroutes; - There is no longer any transit service on 1st Av S north of S Lander St;
- Expect traffic and possible transit delays both pre & post game on routes that serve SODO & Pioneer Square, including Link & DSTT routes.
Sounders FC game at CenturyLink Field
Although no Metro or Metro operated Sound Transit service is rerouted because of this event, expect possible delays due to traffic volumes in the SODO, Stadium,Pioneer Square & downtownSeattle areas.

Construction on Yesler Wy between Alaskan Wy & the Alaskan Wy Viaduct
- Through Friday, April 13.
- Start of service – End of service.
- Route 99 is rerouted by this closure.
Construction on northbound 84th Av NE between NE 12th & NE 24th streets
- Through Friday, June 8.
- 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM each day.
- Route 271 is rerouted by this closure.
Construction on southbound Aurora Av N between
Broad St & Denny Wy
- Through mid-April.
- Routes 5 Local & Express, 26 Express, 28 Express & 358 are rerouted.
Construction on eastbound NW 85th St between
15th Av NW & 8th Av NW
- Through Saturday, May 12.
- Routes 48 & 81 Night Owl are rerouted.
