Metro’s Wednesday PM commute is over; events that may affect your transit service

Metro’s Wednesday evening commute has ended, with no significant delays or disruptions in transit service to report.

A small number of protesters caused very brief service disruptions in the University District duirng the past hour, but the event is over and all service is operating normally.

In observance of Veterans Day, Metro will operate its reduced weekday and “when no UW” schedules on Friday, Nov  11th.

On Friday,  some entire routes are canceled, and some trips on other routes are canceled.

Canceled routes are designated in the service notes in timetables
and on Metro’s online holiday information page.

Individual reduced weekday trips that are canceled are marked with an “H” in timetables. Individual trips that are canceled when the UW is not in session are marked with a “D”.

Most Metro Transit offices – including the customer information, pass sales and
Lost & Found offices – will be closed on Friday.

will reopen Saturday, Nov 12th at 8:00 AM.

UW Veteran’s Day

  • Friday, November 11 from 5:30 AM – 2:30 PM
  • Metro bus route 271 will be rerouted in the University of Washington campus area a due to this event.
