Metro’s Monday afternoon commute is underway; the Alaskan Way Viaduct is open, plus upcoming construction and events that may impact service

Good afternoon!  Metro’s Monday afternoon commute begins quietly with no significant delays or disruptions in service to report.

Routes 21 Express, 37 southbound, 54, 54 Express, 55, 56 Express, 113, 120, 121, 122 and 125 have returned to their regular routing using the new viaduct bypass in SODO.  The temporary stops at 4 Av S & S Lander St and 4 Av S & S Jackson St Island will no longer be served.  Expect some delays in service due to narrow lanes and lower speed limits on the bypass and please be aware that bus times on these routes may be longer than before the viaduct was demolished.

Thank you for your patience during this extended closure.

Please note the information below about other service impacts in Metro’s service area.
