Metro’s Friday PM commute wrap-up; Mariners game tonight at 7:10 PM, Safeco Field; possible congestion near Fauntleroy ferry terminal starting Sunday, July 17; Mount Baker Station elevators to and from the southbound platform are out of service, plus upcoming events that may impact service

Metro’s Friday evening commute is winding down with no significant delays or disruptions in transit service to report.

Please note the information below about upcoming events in Metro’s service area.

Mount Baker Station elevators to and from the southbound platform are out of service
The elevators to and from the Mount Baker Station southbound platform are out of service until further notice. 

Until repairs are made, southbound passengers who require the use of the elevator and want to board at Mount Baker should ride instead north to Beacon Hill and transfer to a southbound train. 

Passengers who want to exit at Mount Baker should ride to Columbia City and transfer to a northbound train. 

Mariners game tonight, Friday, July 15, 7:10 PM at Safeco Field
Traffic in the SODO, Stadium, Pioneer Square & downtown Seattle areas may be congested on game days.  Ride transit to the game.

Southbound Main Av S is closed between S 4th St & Williams Av S
- Monday, June 20 through Friday, August 26.
- At all times during construction.
- Routes 101, 148 & 153 are rerouted by this closure.

S 154th St is closed between 24th Av S & Tukwila Int’l Blvd
- Tuesday, June 28 through Friday, September 30.
- At all times during construction.
- Route 140 is  rerouted by this closure.

Bite of Seattle Festival at Seattle Center 
Traffic around the Seattle Center may be congested during this event. 

  • Friday, July 15 through Sunday, July 17.
  • Although no Metro or Metro operated Sound Transit service is rerouted because of this event, expect possible delays due to traffic volumes in the Seattle Center area. 
  • Ride transit to the Seattle Center events.
  • Regular fares apply.

  • Saturday, July 16.
  • Route 209 will be affected by this event.

 Olde Burien Block Party

  • Saturday, July 16.

  • Saturday, July 16 & Sunday, July 17.
  • Route 33 will be affected by this event.

 Vashon Strawberry Festival & Parade

  • Saturday, July 16.
  • Route 118 will be affected by this event.

Fauntleroy/Vashon/Southworth – Traffic Impacts
Starting Sunday, July 17

Expect ferry delays and traffic congestion at the Fauntleroy terminal
starting Sunday, July 17.   Please take extra caution around the
Fauntleroy terminal and be prepared for delays.   Some sailings
will depart without a full load during peak times because of blocking
traffic.   WSF is monitoring the situation closely to determine  impacts
and possible adjustments.

Metro’s Friday AM commute begins, Route 120 is rerouted in West Seattle, Mount Baker Station elevators to and from the southbound platform are out of service, plus upcoming events that may impact service

 Metro’s Friday morning commute begins with Route 120 in West Seattle on reroute due to police activity on Delridge Way SW between SW Alaska St & SW Brandon St.  Heading toward White Center use the stop southbound on Delridge Way SW just south of SW Oregon St or southbound on Delridge Way SW just south of SW Brandon St.  Heading toward downtown Seattle use the stops northbound on Delridge Way SW just south of SW Brandon St or northbound on Delridge Way SW just north of SW Oregon St until further notice.
