Metro’s Friday afternoon commute is winding down with no significant
delays or disruptions in transit service to report.

Please note additional construction and events that may affect travel in Metro’s service area.

West Seattle Summer Festival

•  SW Alaska Stis closed between 42nd Av SW & 44th Av SW
  through Sunday night. All buses that serve the West Seattle Junction  
  are rerouted around the closure. 

15th Av NE will be closed between NE 50th St & NE 45th St

• Friday, July 8, through Saturday, July 9
• Routes 48 & 70 will be rerouted by this closure.

S Albro Pl & Ellis Av S will be closed overnight

• Friday, July 8, 7:00 PM – 5:00 AM
• Routes 60, 106 & 131 will be rerouted by this closure.

Chinatown Summer Festival:

• Friday, July 8, through Sunday, July 10
• Route 99 will be rerouted by this event.

Ballard Seafood Fest:

• Friday, July 8, through Sunday, July 10
• Routes 17, 18, 44, 75 & 81 Night Owl will be rerouted by this event.

SR-520 Bridge will be closed

• Friday night to Monday morning
• Routes 255, 271, 280 & ST 545 will be rerouted by this closure.
• Medina Shuttle service will be available.

Mercer Corridor Project  

• Mercer St ramps to and from I-5 will be closed Friday night to Monday morning
• Rts 8 & 17 will be rerouted.

Wallingford Kids Parade:

• Saturday, July 9, 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• Routes 16 & 44 will be rerouted by this event. 

Mercer Island Summer Festival:

• Saturday, July 9, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Route 204 will be rerouted by this event. 

Redmond Derby Days:

• Saturday, July 9, Start of Service – 1:00 PM
• Routes 221, 230, 248, 253 & Sound Transit Route 545 will be rerouted by this event. 

Madison Park Kids Parade:

• Saturday, July 9, 11:00 AM – Noon
• Route 11 may experience some delays during this event.

Kent Cornucopia Days:

• Sunday, July 10, 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Routes 150, 166 & 180 will be rerouted by this event.

  Return To Renton Car Show:

• Sunday, July 10, 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Routes 101, 105, 106, 107, 140, 148, 169, 240 & Sound Transit Route 560  will be rerouted by this event.

 Federal Way Women’s Triathlon:

• Sunday, July 10, 6:00 AM – 12:00 Noon
• Route 181 will be rerouted by this event.

  Southbound Main Av S is closed between S 4th St & Williams Av S

• Monday, June 20 through Friday, August 26.
• At all times during construction.
• Routes 101, 148 & 153 are rerouted by this closure.

S 154th St is closed between 24th Av S & Tukwila Int’l Blvd

• Tuesday, June 28 through Friday, September 30.
• At all times during construction.
• Route 140 is  rerouted by this closure.

Metro’s Friday PM commute is continuing mostly quietly; southbound I-5 is slow from the U District & there are lots of weekend construction & events affecting King County transit & traffic

At 3:30 PM Metro’s Friday afternoon  commute is continuing with no
significant disruptions in transit service  to report.

Metro is advised that there could be delays on the southbound Alaskan Way Viaduct this afternoon, due to the exit to S Royal Brougham Way being closed.
There are also traffic delays on southbound I-5 from the University District.
