Metro’s Monday PM Commute Wrap Up; Plus Upcoming Events That May Impact Transit Service

At 7:00 PM, Metro’s Monday evening commute is winding down with no significant disruptions or delays in transit service to report.

Dexter Av N paving Tue & Wed; possible delays for Rts 26 & 28
On Tuesday, May 10 & Wednesday, May 11, SDOT will be paving Dexter Av N from just south of Nickerson St south to McGraw St. The work is weather dependent and subject to change without notice. The work hours are expected to be 7 AM to 6 PM each day. Anticipate possible related delays on Metro routes 26 and 28, and for traffic in general in this area.

Bellevue Bus Stops Begin to Get RapidRide Makeover
On Monday, May 9, King County Metro Transit continues the renovation of many bus stops and shelters in the Bellevue area as preparation for the RapidRide B Line.

Alaskan way Viaduct Closure and Lane Reconfiguration
From Friday night, May 13 at 11 PM through Monday, May 16 at 6 AM, the Alaskan Way Viaduct will be closed for a test of the Automated Viaduct Closure System and lane reconfiguration. King County Metro Transit is encouraging bus riders to prepare by checking Metro Online, watching media reports and signing up for Transit Alerts.

Metro’s Monday PM Commute Is Underway; Route 2 Is Rerouted Off Of Seneca St & Spring St Due To A Blockage At 9 Ave & Seneca St; Plus Upcoming Events That May Impact Transit Service

At 3:00 PM, Metro’s Monday afternoon commute is underway.

Route 2 is currently rerouted off of Seneca and Spring streets east of 3rd Av due to a blockage at 9th and Seneca.
Heading toward Madrona, Route 2 is traveling via 3rd Av, Marion St, 5th Av and Madison St to 9th Av, serving all posted stops along the reroute.
Heading to downtown from Madrona, Route 2 is traveling via Madison St between 11th and 3rd Avenues, and is serving all posted stops.

Metro’s Monday morning commute begins quietly with no significant delays
or disruptions in transit service to report.

On Monday, May 9,  7:00 PM through Tuesday, 5:00 AM, southbound Ambaum Blvd SW will be closed between SW 124 St & SW 146 St.  Rts 120 & ST 560 will be affected by this closure.
