Metro’s Wednesday PM Commute Wrap-Up; Spring Break Service Revisions In Effect & West Seattle Water Taxi Canceled

Metro’s Wednesday afternoon commute is winding down at this time.

The incident on 3rd Av between James St and Yesler Way near the Court House has been cleared and all buses have returned to their regular routes. There are no other significant transit delays to report.  Please make note of the following service alerts:

The University of Washington is on Spring Break – March 21-25         (No UW)
 
When the UW is not in session, some routes operate a weekday schedule with designated trip canceled. Weekday fares apply.
Canceled trips are identified in Metro Timetables with a “D”.                          The routes with designated trips canceled are:                                                                        31, 45, 65, 67, 68, 75, 133, 167, 197, 205, 271, 272, 277, 372 & 373.

West Seattle Water Taxi service canceled for the rest of this week

Service on the West Seattle Water Taxi is canceled for the rest of the week because the Rachel Marie vessel is undergoing repairs.
Service will not resume before next Monday, March 28. Passengers should watch for service updates later in the week and over the weekend via the Water Taxi website and subscriber alerts.
 

Alternative service is available on Metro Transit service:

3rd Av Between James St & Yesler Way Is Now Re-opened.

The earlier blockage at 3rd Av between James St and Yesler Way near the Court House has been cleared. All buses should return to their regular routes momentarily.

3rd Av Closed Between James St and Yesler Way in Both Directions

At 5:11 pm – 3rd Av is blocked in both directions between Yesler Way and James Street near the Court House.

Buses that normally operate northbound on 3rd Av are being rerouted onto 4th Av.  Use stops south of Washington St or north of James St

Buses that normally operate southbound on 3rd Av are being rerouted onto James St.  Use stops north of James St or south of Washington St.
