Metro’s Wednesday AM Commute Begins Quietly, Plus Reduce Weekday & When No UW Operation Dec 24-31

At 6:00 AM, Metro’s Wednesday morning commute begins quietly with no significant delays or disruptions in transit service to report.

Metro is monitoring the weather and prepared to respond if it snows. Currently no Metro service is affected by weather conditions.

 In observance of the winter holidays, Metro operates its reduced weekday and “when no UW” schedules from Dec 24-31.

During this time some entire routes are canceled and designated trips on other routes are canceled.

Canceled routes are designated in the service notes in timetables and on Metro’s online holiday information page.

Individual reduced weekday trips that are canceled are marked with an “H” in timetables.

Individual ‘when no UW’ trips that are canceled are marked with a “D” in timetables.

Regular fares apply on all weekdays.

Effective January 1, there will be several fares changes for Metro riders.  For more information about these changes, visit http://metro.kingcounty.gov/.

Metro’s Tuesday PM Commute Wrap-up – Rt 234 Continues on Reroute & Metro Transit is on Snow Watch for Wednesday, Dec 29

At 7:00 PM, Metro’s Tuesday evening commute is winding down with Rt 234 rerouted due to a blockage at Northup Wy & 116 Av NE.

With snow showers in the forecast for Wednesday morning, King County Metro Transit is urging bus riders to prepare by making sure they are signed up for Transit Alerts at Metro Online and that they know the snow routing for the buses they will ride tomorrow.

Before traveling, riders should check www.kingcounty.gov/metro/snow for the most current status of Metro service. Updates to the online information will begin at 4 a.m.

Additionally, in observance of the winter holidays, Metro operates its reduced weekday and “when no UW” schedules from Dec 24-31.

During this time some entire routes are canceled and designated trips on other routes are canceled.  Canceled routes are designated in the service notes in timetables and on Metro’s online holiday information page.
