No Eye On Your Metro Commute Posts This Morning; Metro Is Responding To Icy Roads Affecting Bus Service

Due to the amount of Metro service currently being affected
by icy road conditions throughout East and South King County,
there will be no posts to Eye On Your Metro Commute this
morning.

Please visit Metro Online’s Snow & Ice and related online
pages for updates.

In observance of the winter holidays, Metro operates its
reduced weekday and “when no UW” schedules on weekdays
through  Dec 31.

During this time some entire routes are canceled, and some
trips on other routes are canceled.

Canceled routes are designated in the service notes in timetables
and on Metro’s online holiday information page.

Individual reduced weekday trips that are canceled are marked
with an “H” in timetables.

Individual trips that are canceled when the UW is not in
session are marked with a “D”.

Regular fares apply on all days.

Most Metro Transit offices – including the pass sales and
Lost & Found offices – will be closed on Friday, Dec 31.

Metro’s Customer Information call center at 206-553-3000
will be open on Friday from 8:00 AM-7:00 PM.  It will be
closed on Saturday and will reopen Sunday at 8:00 AM.

There will be no Eye On Your Metro Commute posts on Friday.

On Saturday, Jan 1, Metro operates a Sunday schedule.  If
your route doesn’t normally operate on Sunday, it will not
operate this Saturday.

Also, Metro fares will change on Saturday.

If roads are cleared and Metro is able to operate normal
service by 3:00 PM, Eye On Your Metro Commute will
return then.   Otherwise we will be continuing to work on
weather-related service issues and post them in Metro
Online….and we’ll be back on Monday.

Thank you for riding and for using Metro’s services.

Happy New Year.

Travel safely.
