Metro’s Thursday PM Commute Wrap-Up, Plus Reduced Weekday & When No UW Operation Dec 24-31

 At 7:00 PM Metro’s Thursday evening commute is winding down with no significant disruptions to report.

In observance of the winter holidays, Metro operates its reduced weekday and “when no UW” schedules from Dec 24-31.

During this time some entire routes are canceled and designated trips on other
routes are canceled.

Canceled routes are designated in the service notes in timetables and on
Metro’s online holiday information page.

Individual reduced weekday trips that are canceled are marked with an “H” in
timetables.

Individual ‘when no UW’ trips that are canceled are marked with a “D” in
timetables.

Regular fares apply on all weekdays.

Most Metro Transit offices will be closed on Friday, Dec 24. There will be no Eye on Your Metro Commute posts on Friday.

On Saturday, Dec 25, Metro operates a Sunday schedule.

We will return at 6:00 Monday morning to keep an Eye on Your Metro Commute.

At 3:00 PM, Metro’s Thursday afternoon commute is underway with no significant delays or disruptions in transit service to report.

Metro customers are reminded that transit service is affected by this week’s holidays.

Through Friday, December 31 when the UW is not in session, some UW-area Metro bus routes operate a weekday schedule with designated trips cancelled. Cancelled trips on these routes are marked in timetables with the letter “D”. 

Affected routes are: 31, 45, 65, 67, 68, 75, 133, 167, 197, 205, 271, 272, 277, 372 & 373. 

These UW-area service revisions are in addition to other reduced weekday and holiday service revisions that are in effect between Dec 20 and Jan 1.

Metro operates reduced weekday service on Friday, Dec 24 and Sunday service on Saturday, Dec 25.

Weekday fares  apply through Friday.
