Transit customers throughout the greater Seattle area
should be prepared on Wednesday evening, Oct 20 and
on Thursday, Oct 21 for possible occasional street closures
or traffic slowdowns and associated transit service delays as
President Obama visits the region. For security reasons there
is little additional information available.
With the exception of Metro Route 70, there are no pre-planned
transit reroutes that miss any stops. However transit customers
may experience brief delays or reroutes at any time in any area
because of actual traffic impacts at an affected location, or
because a transit vehicle may be delayed at a point along its route
prior to arriving at a location that is not otherwise affected.
Any transit service disruptions are expected to be brief and related
traffic conditions are expected to change rapidly.
Transit is likely the best option for getting to and from Thursday’s
public event at the University of Washington.
Your patience during this time is appreciated.
